    Afrika Bambaataa, from the South Bronx, is notable for releasing a series of genre-defining electro tracks in the 1980s that influenced the development of hip hop culture. Afrika Bambaataa is one of the originators of breakbeat DJing and is respectfully known as "The Godfather" and "Amen Ra of Hip Hop Kulture", as well as the father of electro funk. Through his co-opting of the street gang the Black Spades into the music and culture-oriented Universal Zulu Nation, he has helped spread hip hop culture throughout the world.

    INTIKANA is an artist, educator, and filmmaker born and raised in the Bronx. He has featured on VH1 and toured across the United States, Canada, Cuba, Borikén (Puerto Rico), Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Tanzania, and Uganda, Afrika while sharing the stage with artists such as KRS-One, Immortal Technique, Raekwon, Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, J Cole, Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Styles P, M1 of Dead Prez, The Last Poets, Saul Williams, among others. He is the 2014 End Of The Weak USA National MC Challenge Champion and his new EP "Native Eyez" was nominated for three Native American Music Awards.

    As a touring artist and Urban Word Youth Mentor, Intikana has performed and facilitated workshops at hundreds of universities/colleges, high schools, elementary/middle schools, community centers, group homes, and prison facilities. Through his diverse works, Intikana seeks to blend multiple mediums of art in order to address a wide range of issues. He is the recipient of the 2013 Taino Areito Award for "Filmmaker of The Year" and is founder of Stampede Fireflieswhich is a multi-media production company that aims to educate and heal through art. His critically acclaimed one man show Penumbra was selected by HBO to be presented as a film pitch for the 2009 NY International Latino Film Festival and toured nationally concluding its Off-Broadway debut.

    Currently, Intikana is collaborating with Carnegie Hall to serve Bronx youth in writing, recording, and performing music with brass orchestra. He is a certified Pro Tools Audio Software Technician and self taught film editor on Final Cut Pro. He has produced dozens of short film projects for a variety of clients. From 2012-2013, he served as Arts Education Specialist for an elementary school in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn introducing Hip Hop & Storytelling to 4-8 year olds. Intikana is a recipient of The Bronx Council On The Arts' 2010 BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) award for excellence in Performing Arts and continues to actively participate in the conscious development of Hip Hop, not only in his community, but around the world.
