Cold Weather Kids, based out of Los Angeles, CA, began as a passion project between Ryan Scottie & Adam Allison. The two met while attending college in Chicago in the early 2010's and instantly formed a lifelong friendship.
Following their debut EP "Songs We Can't Finish" which dropped August of 2020, the band continued raising the bar with "Quarantunes" a three song EP made from the time spent inside working remotely due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
While there were multiple songs written about the global pandemic, Cold Weather Kids truly made a name for themselves after the pandemic anthem "Stolen Summer" was released in July of 2021.
During 2022 the band prioritized performing and gathered a reputation that led them to the opportunity of opening for Boys Like Girls at the Observatory in Orange County to a sold out crowd off 1400.

Jonathan Castro (Lil Used), born in Los Angeles, CA on a rainy evening in the heart of suburban America, found solace in the emotional depth of music from an early age. Raised in a household where vinyl records spun tales of heartbreak and resilience, young Johnny was drawn to the raw honesty of emo music. Bands like My Chemical Romance, Brand New, and Dashboard Confessional became his sonic companions through the trials and tribulations of adolescence.
Inspired by the cathartic power of music, Johnny began penning his own melancholic melodies and introspective lyrics. Drawing from his personal experiences of love, loss, and longing, he crafted a sound that resonated with the disenfranchised youth of his generation. Adopting the moniker Lil Used as a nod to his thrifted fashion sense and emotionally worn heart, he embarked on a journey to share his innermost thoughts with the world.
With a DIY ethos and a laptop as his canvas, Lil Used began releasing his music independently on SoundCloud. His haunting vocals, coupled with haunting guitar riffs and atmospheric production, captivated listeners searching for authenticity in a world of superficiality. Tracks like "Leaving" and "Haunting" garnered attention from emo revivalists and mainstream audiences alike, propelling Lil Used to cult status within the underground music scene.
