A classically trained jazz pianist, ELEW (Eric Lewis) first gained national recognition as the winner of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition and went on to perform alongside artists including Wynton Marsalis and Elvin Jones. He later re-emerged as ELEW, pioneering his signature “Rockjazz” sound—a dynamic fusion of jazz improvisation, classical technique, and modern rock and pop. ELEW’s boundary-pushing performances have taken him around the world, from major brands and international events to the White House, where he performed for President Barack Obama. His creative work also extends into film composition, screenwriting, directing, and DJing. Joining ELEW is New Orleans jazz legend Herlin Riley, whose powerful drumming, deep musicality, and unmistakable Crescent City swing have made him one of the most respected figures in contemporary jazz.
