Elephant Gym
Rock
Formed in 2012 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, the experimental trio Elephant Gym interlace variousthreads of jazz, electronic, and classical into a singular patchwork of contemporary math-andpost-rock. At once evoking the towering, boisterousessence of elephants, and the acrobatic, dexterous nature of a gymnast, Elephant Gym’s sound feeds off tension and unlikely contrasts.Elephant Gym songs often find bassist KT Chang as the lead voice, her nimble and expressiveplaying style a signature imprint of the Elephant Gym sonic character. Sibling Tell Chang meshesdeftly on guitar and occasionally keys, with Chia-Chin Tu’s elasticdrumming as a malleableanchorpoint between his bandmates’ funk-and-jazz-infused chops. The trio’s tenure has seen the release of a handful of EPs and three full lengths, Angle (2014),Underwater (2018), and Dreams (2022), as well as a number of international and localcollaborations that span the spectrum of the arts, ranging from theater productions to windorchestras to traditional percussion ensembles

Experimental Rock
standards is a guitar and drum duo from Long Beach, California. The self-proclaimed “Fruit Rock” band has earned a worldwide fanbase for their technical, math rock inspired songwriting and amusing online presence. 2024 saw the band release their third studio album Fruit Galaxy which was called “math rock album of the year” by Mathcore Index and “out-of-this-world” by Guitar World magazine. Alongside the new album came a reunion of guitarist/lead songwriter Marcos Mena and longtime studio drummer Forrest Rice (Covet). Having shared the stage with the likes of Plini, Elephant Gym and Tiny Moving Parts, the band will now embark on their own headline tours of the U.K and The United States as their next step in sharing their energetic and melodically infectious instrumental music with the world.
