Sacramento’s Element Brass Band will make you MOVE! E.B.B. is one of the premier bands on the West Coast for New Orleans Second Line. The band recently released their second album, “Cali Got A Brass Band” in the start of 2018. Element have toured New Orleans, New York City and Atlanta, and have performed at many venues including the High Sierra Music Festival, Guitarfish, the Fillmore, the New Parish, The Boom Boom Room, and Ace Of Spades. They have opened for GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, Blackalicious, Andy Frasco, The California Honeydrops, Turkuaz, Big Sam's Funky Nation, A Tribe Called Red, Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Jellybread, Katdelic, Wil Blades, Victor Little, DJ Logic, New Kingston and many others. E.B.B. have twice been given the accolade of ‘Best in Jazz' at the Sacramento Music Awards! Second line is a long standing tradition with brass band parades, born out of New Orleans. The tradition is rooted in post-Civil War America with musical ties and lineage dating back to early West African culture. The main line, also known as the first line, is the first section in a brass band parade. Those who follow behind the parade to dance and enjoy the music are known as the second line! Second line parades generally lack the slower hymns and solemn music of "jazz funerals". Second line music represents freedom, history and celebration of life itself! Ages 8+ BLUE NOTE NAPA is located on the first floor of the Historic Napa Valley Opera House at 1030 Main St. We are an intimate 144-seat jazz club and restaurant, where you can enjoy performances of world renowned and local Bay Area artists alike.
