Alycia Lang is a Durham-via-Northern California based singer-songwriter, touring multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.  Her first full-length record, Speak The Word To Hear The Sound, tells intimate stories of life’s transitions through songs that transcend genre, each one a tiny testament to the power of spontaneity, vulnerability, and letting a song be what it is. From hard hitting, tongue-in-cheek rock songs about feminine rage, to meandering folk songs about childhood, the songs on the record look at a series of universal experiences through different perspectives, reminding the listener that life, like art, is ever-changing yet immovable, unpredictable, yet universal — and at best we can write a song about it.  In 2024 you can find Alycia playing and singing in Samia’s touring band, making vocal cameos all around the indie rock scene, and playing her own music around the country.
