A tribute to the Percussion Stars of Afro Cuban Jazz   Congabop bandleader Ed Fast has criss crossed the globe performing around the world, in New York, and across the country with stars including Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra Jr, Chita Rivera, Charo and many others. Travels have taken him to Africa, Cuba, Moscow, and beyond.   Congabop is a supergroup coalition of top NYC artists in jazz, dance, and drumming coming together to create a unique and powerful voice. Two CD releases document their vibe & energy with appearances by iconic guitarist Larry Coryell, trombonist Steve Davis, The Curtis Brothers, & legendary congero Bill Fitch.   Featured in this tribute will be one of the world’s leading timbaleros Special Guest Artist: Camilo Molina   Congabop Horns The powerhouse horns are captained by jazz master trombonist Steve Davis and regularly feature some of the most exciting horns on the scene today including Josh Bruneau trpt, Sarah Hanahan- Alto, James Burton - trombone, Joel Fuentes - trumpet & more.   Vocals: Congabop currently features exceptional vocalist Yolanda Coggins who applies her exciting style to unique Rumbafied versions of jazz standards, Broadway classics, and popular music of The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and more.   Dums & Percussion: The percussion section led by Ed Fast regularly features world renowned Afro Cuban specialist Anthony Carrillo and the most soulful conguero on the planet Jorge Fuentes. *Other special guest appearances like Jesse "Cheese" Hameen may happen without warning!   The rhythm section is completed with in demand bassist Matt Dwonszyk, and pianists Amy Millan & Zaccai Curtis.   Dance: When the music reaches its peak, Solo dance artist joins the band and may even grab an audience member or two to join her onstage.
