Mikel Erentxun is a renowned Spanish musician and songwriter, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Spanish pop-rock. He rose to international prominence as the lead singer and principal songwriter of Duncan Dhu, one of Spain’s most iconic bands since the 1980s.
Formed in San Sebastián, Duncan Dhu became a defining force in Spanish music, blending pop, rock, and folk influences and delivering timeless classics such as “En algún lugar,” “Cien gaviotas,” and “Jardín de rosas.” Their songs remain staples across generations and continue to shape the sound of Spanish-language pop-rock.
Following the band’s initial disbandment, Mikel launched a successful solo career in 1992, releasing multiple acclaimed albums and maintaining a strong presence on major stages and festivals.
