Shellabration Inc. is excited to welcome Big & Rich as headliners for our 5th ever Downtown Country Jam event with special guests Cowboy Troy and DJ Sinister. Slated for Saturday, September 17th, the lineup will also include Jake McVey as direct support plus local Fort Dodge favorites the Tank Anthony Band. In celebration of our organization's 20th anniverisary, we wanted this year's event to be a party, and a what party it will be!

Big & Rich, comprised of Big Kenny from Hollywood Records and John Rich from the band Lonestar, broke onto the scene with their first studio album Horse of a Different Color in 2004 scoring four Top-40 hits including 8th of NovemberComing to Your CityLost in This Moment and the ever popular Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy). Subsequent releases yielded hits like Holy WaterBig TimeNever Mind MeFake ID (w/ Gretchen Wilson), That’s Why I PrayLovin’ YouRun Away With YouLovin’ LatelyCalifornia and Stay Home. Known for their high energy live shows, Big & Rich creates a party vibe and atmosphere at every event they participate in. 
 
Tickets for the 2022 Downtown Country Jam go on sale online at 12AM Saturday, June 25th (midnight, Friday, June 24th). Tickets will initially only be available online at www.ticketweb.com. They will become available for purchase at Hy-Vee in Fort Dodge beginning on Saturday, July 16th. Additional local retail ticket outlets will be announced leading up to the local on-sale date. Tickets will cost $38 on or before Sunday, August 28th increasing to $45 beginning on Monday, August 29th. Should there be any tickets remaining, they will be sold at the gate for $50. Kids 12 years of age and under are admitted free if accompanied by an adult. All tickets are general admission, festival style (bring your own chair) seating. 

Shellabration Inc. is a tax exempt 501(c)4 non-profit organization consisting exclusively of unpaid board members and volunteers. The organization’s mission is to make a positive contribution to the quality of life and the economic development of the greater Fort Dodge area through the delivery of exciting, family-friendly entertainment and performing arts options. In years when a profit is realized, 100% of the net proceeds remain within the organization and are used to 1) help stage additional events, 2) to attract bigger headliners each year and 3) to perpetuate the organization’s mission in down financial years.     Big & Rich are America’s Technicolor cowboys, brothers-in-arms in service to the creed that great music has no boundaries. Individually, John Rich and Big Kenny are first-rate musicians, songwriters, producers, entertainers.     William Kenneth Alphin, best known by his stage name Big Kenny, is an American country music singer. He and John Rich comprise the duo Big & Rich, who recorded six studio albums and charted nineteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

    Before Big & Rich, Big Kenny recorded a solo album, Live a Little, for Hollywood Records in 1999 (although it was not released until 2005) and fronted a band called luvjOi. He has also written or co-written several of Big & Rich’s songs with Rich, as well as singles for Gretchen Wilson, Jason Aldean, McBride & the Ride, and Tim McGraw. His first solo single, “Long After I’m Gone,” was released to country radio on August 3, 2009, from the album, The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy.
