The Time is Now, Now's The Time Jazz for Democracy

---

"Donal Fox is simply without peer."
-- Howard Mandel, Down Beat

"Donal Fox, has an extraordinary musical reach-Latin vamps, New Orleans second line marches, free-jazz explosions, Monk taken to the out-there edges of Schoenberg and Webern, a lyric take on Bach or Chopin. He's got the all-over power of McCoy Tyner and the superb keyboard marksmanship of Ellington and Horowitz" -- Jon Garelick, Jazz Journalist

Internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and improviser Donal Fox has forged a unique amalgam of jazz, Latin and classical music. Combining deep grooves with sophisticated contrapuntal lines, he creates a striking musical collage at once stirring, visceral, and intellectually satisfying. Like a great DJ digging in the crates for forgotten gems, Fox mines the rich resources of jazz and classical literature, crafting an expanding repertoire of original compositions seamlessly wedded to the undeniable pulse of Afro-Cuban jazz. His inventive blend marches boldly toward new sounds effortlessly “Confounding the Genre Police.” (Downbeat)

Jacques Schwarz-Bart has been at the center of several musical revolutions: neo soul next to D’angelo and Erika Badu, New Jazz as a founding member of Roy Hargrove RH Factor. He outright created two surging new styles: Gwoka Jazz, and Voodoo jazz, reuniting jazz music with its Afro-Caribbean and spiritual origins. Jacques’ impressionistic writing, powerful tone, and wide-ranging language – both lyrical and angular – have fueled a growing presence on the world stage.
