Like a phoenix, DOMKRAFT rise from the ashes of their previous apocalyptic-themed albums with third full-length "Seeds". The latest album from the psychedelic riff-doom trio focuses on the idea of emerging from the ruins to start anew, building something different and better beyond the cataclysm. In the midst of 2020's summer heatwave, the Swedes headed to Welfare Sounds Studio in Gothenburg for three days to nail down a new epic that feels raw and alive with studio heads Kalle Lilja and Per Stålberg. With due credit to the mixing wizardry of Karl Daniel Lidén (GREENLEAF, KATATONIA, LOWRIDER), DOMKRAFT's trademark heft is more prominent than ever, and the ambitious lyrical themes add context to the always-massive riffs and hypnotizing flow. Originally, DOMKRAFT bonded over a mutual love for SPACEMEN 3, MONSTER MAGNET, SLEEP, and HAWKWIND among others. Drawing from the heaviest of their combined influences, the trio from Stockholm crafted a sound that blends towering dirges, mind-bending psychedelia, and hypnotic minimalism, which is embodied by their monolithic 2016 debut album "The End of Electricity" and 2018 follow-up "Flood". Salem’s Bend is a Los Angeles-based heavy rock trio with musical influences that run the gamut from '70s classic rockers to modern heavy-hitters in the desert, doom, psych and stoner rock scenes. Having cut their teeth in different bands around LA for several years, they self-released their debut album on Bandcamp in the tail-end of December 2015. The album garnered some early praise at heavy music blogs, with one reviewer commenting, "You want dynamics? Salem’s Bend is practically a liquid. 'Dynamics' is just a buzz word until it’s wielded by these sprightly upstarts." The album caught the ear of Ripple Music, who signed them and re-released their debut record worldwide in October 2016. Salem's Bend has been tearing up the local scene since their inaugural West Coast tour in 2016 and hasn't slowed down yet. They've shredded the road for over 40,000 miles with tours and festivals around the US every year, including a sold-out SXSW showcase, Desertfest London 2019 + European tour, Psycho Las Vegas 2022, RippleFest Texas 2022, and more. King Ghidra is a Space Prog band formed by Ricky Ureño (guitar & vocals), Juan Silva (guitar & vocals), Albert (synth), Erik Figueroa (bass) and, Ryan Alonso (drums) in August 2023. Named after Godzilla's iconic rival, they released their debut album, "Abstractions of the Universe" on October 23rd 2024. It is a tribute to space age sci-fi and the classic metal, psychedelia, and prog of the 70s. Many of the lyrics were inspired by classic sci-fi movies like Predator, Godzilla, & 2001: A Space Odyssey. King Ghidra prides itself on their diy approach to music production. The entire project was recorded in a garage, on a shoestring budget using whatever gear they can find. It was self produced, being mixed in a bedroom. This approach led to a very refreshing sound in their respective scene.
