“The music of Domas Žeromskas is fresh, creative, full of spirit & wonderful musical ideas and his playing shines through all.” – Bob James
"Domas Žeromskas' playing showcases beauty, inventiveness, maturity, and excitement. All of this, along with his considerable writing chops, make him a player to watch out for.” – Gregory Tardy
"When I met Domas in 2019 while conducting a gospel master class in Riga, I could tell then he had an incredible ear, but I don’t think any one of us really knew the massive gift he was on the piano. Who could have thought a young guy from Lithuania had so much soul." – Donald Lawrence

The 25-year-old Lithuanian jazz pianist and composer Domas Žeromskas is joined by saxophonist Langston Hughes II and a longtime trio for a concert celebrating the release of his new record.
Born and raised in Vilnius, the pianist has spent his early formative years on stage alongside prominent native jazz veterans. By the time he graduated high school, Domas was already a sought-after player, known for his technical versatility and soulful, eclectic taste.
At the age of 18 Žeromskas released his debut “Infinite Itinerant”, showcasing original music composed and arranged during his teenage years, featuring guest performances from Braxton Cook. In the following years he has been recording and touring internationally with artists such as Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Gregory Tardy, Farayi Malek, Naledi Masilo, Tom Scott, Ron Reid, Ryan Sands, and was also part of Euroradio Jazz Orchestra, hosted by WDR. In 2021 he started the acclaimed trio with Ian Quinton Banno on bass and Héctor L. Falu Guzmán on drums, which soon became a first-call rhythm section at Berklee and among a handful of seasoned jazz musicians.
Upon graduating from Berklee, Domas recorded “Meditations on Providence and Perseverance, Vol.1”. Featuring collaborations with Gregory Groover Jr., Nadje Noordhuis, Gregory Tardy and Alexandria DeWalt, the album appeared in 2024. The 2nd volume of this project followed two years later, this time joined by Joel Ross, Langston Hughes II and Luan POMMIER.
The pianist currently resides in Boston, pursuing his masters at the New England Conservatory under the tutelage of Jason Moran, Ethan Iverson, Ran Blake, Jerry Bergonzi and others. Domas’ original music combines Post-Bop and metrically-nuanced modern jazz with Gospel/sacred music traditions and Afro-Caribbean styles. The repertoire is also enriched by modern adaptations of his native Lithuanian composers’ songbook and Baltic folklore.
