For the first time, Dobbs’ Dead is taking its celebrated special guest residency spirit beyond Burlington for a three night “Days Between” run across the Northeast. The journey, Zenbarn on 8.1, before heading to Lark Hall on 8.2 and Homestead Bar & Kitchen on 8.3. Originally born out of Dobbs’ special guest residencies at Nectar’s, the tradition continues with an all star-cast featuring Cotter Ellis, Brian Murray, Jimmy Law, Jon Colman, Jack Vignone, and Jessica Leone joining Josh Dobbs for three nights celebrating the music, community, and spirit of the Days Between.
 
Dobbs’ Dead is not interested in recreating the past note for note. Treating the material less like museum pieces and more like standards, the band uses the songs as launchpads to explore uncharted musical territory night after night. Fueled by the inspiration these young musicians grew up with, Dobbs’ Dead brings a modern, cosmic energy to the music while remaining deeply rooted in the improvisational spirit and sense of adventure that made it timeless in the first place. This is not a show to be missed.
