Do206 presents a night of genre-bending local talent at Tractor Tavern on 9/29. Headliners, Biddadat and All Star Opera, will be joined by another local act, Hoshin, to throw one heck of a party. Come celebrate the eclectic blend of funk, soul, and hip-hop.
Biddadat is a neo-funk sensation. Nostalgic grooves combine with contemporary electronic elements that are sure to inspire anyone to shake their thangs. They will be performing new tracks from their most recent EP, Carplane, released on 7/6. If that’s not enough reason to celebrate, 9/29 is frontman Cameron Brownell’s birthday!

All Star Opera is Seattle’s favorite bohemian hip-hop party crew. In 2017, Seattle Weekly coined them as “Best Band in Seattle,” a title awarded by public vote. These boys demonstrate a sonic spectrum that ranges from soulful vibes to rock n roll influenced anthems. They are proud to present their new single, “No Days Off,” featuring Seattle’s own KnowMads, released on 6/28.

Hoshin reigns as this city’s primary neo-soul performance. Even though they are fresh to the scene, they are incredibly skilled, and offer something new compared to bands you’d expect to see in Seattle. Progressive rhythms and melodies, roots in Jazz, and of course, plenty of soul: this is Hoshin.

Three happy-go-lucky boys, poking around on controllers, picking on strings, banging on drums: sounds like a little Biddadat. They are Seattle's essence of neo-funk, combining the nostalgia of funk and blues with contemporary rock and electronica. If their silly attitudes don't make you comfortable enough to shake it on that floor, the tunes will certainly fuel those moves.

All Star Opera, a seven-member Hip Hop ensemble hailing from Seattle, WA, was founded in 2016 and has since evolved into a unique musical force. With a steadfast commitment to growth, the band seamlessly blends the introspective and thought-provoking lyricism of MCs Flow Carter and Oz. Notably, Flow Carter's vocal prowess extends to singing and trumpet, contributing to the band's versatile sound.
The sonic landscape is enriched by the collective talent of Seth McDonald on keys, Tylee Toyoda on drums, Will Greenburg on guitar, Bailey Wager on percussion, and Kirk Huffman on bass – each a producer in their own right. This convergence of musical knowledge and taste defines the distinctive All Star Opera sound.
Having toured the western US extensively and graced festivals like Treefort Music Fest and Capitol Hill Block Party, All Star Opera is not just confined to the stage and studio. In addition to their musical endeavors, the band runs the nonprofit Seattle World Tour Foundation in collaboration with Respect My Region. Since 2019, they have raised over $50,000 for WA State musician relief through various campaigns.
As of 2024, All Star Opera is diligently crafting their sophomore album while releasing singles along the way, staying true to their commitment to musical innovation and community engagement.
