At the intersection of relentlessly catchy melodies and bold, exploratory production sits David De La Garza aka DLG., an indie artist with genre-bending tendencies and a dedicated fanbase. Already having amassed 50M+ streams and industry acclaim, his upcoming debut album has him poised for a breakout year. The sonically adventurous project is a bittersweet reflection on his love and loss, coupling a soulful voice (reminiscent of Mac Miller), with powerful, anthemic production in the same lane as Tame Impala and other indie giants. Born in Austin but now living in LA, DLG. is a homegrown talent in every sense. Even the artwork surrounding his debut album was created with his mother, an award-winning painter and sculptor in her own right. With his roots taken hold and his career flourishing, DLG. is being steadily solidified as an artist you simply need to be paying attention to.

Magnus Ferrell makes his presence known with a vibrant and vivacious voice and vintage
swagger. The 21-year-old Los Angeles-born singer, songwriter, producer, and
multi-instrumentalist brings substance and spirit back to pop music. Exuding confidence and
charisma, he emerges as a rare force of nature who could enrapture either an underground jazz
club or the main stage of your favorite festival.
After amassing millions of streams and generating buzz independently, he introduces a slick
signature style on a series of 2025 singles and his debut EP for Republic Records.
“I refer to what I do as ‘groove therapy’,” he grins. “In my brain, I see psychedelic colors of the
sixties and seventies for the aesthetic. Sonically, I try to make pop with depth. This is music you
can play on live instruments. It’s meant to be unexpected. I want it to be a shock to the system.”
Hailing from a suburb of Los Angeles, he embraced music as a kid. His grandfather famously
played saxophone and keys for The Righteous Brothers in addition to cutting solo music of his
own. At his mother’s urging, Magnus started piano lessons at five-years-old. “My mom just told
me to stick with it until I was 18, which seemed like forever,” he laughs. By middle school, he
developed a passion for the instrument, delving into jazz and studying the likes of Bill Evans,
Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, and John Coltrane. He expanded his palette via Bruno Major, Mac
Ayres, Still Woozy, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. Along the way, he took advantage of
any opportunity to perform, whether it be dueting with his grandpa at a family wedding or joining
school jazz band. By participating in the latter, he forged a friendship with collaborator Gabe
Yaron. The duo went from rearranging and recutting pop songs for fun to attending University of
Southern California where they even roomed together.
In 2023, Magnus served up “Drinks On Me,” gaining momentum with “Missed Your Chance” on
its heels. His 2024 single “Life Or Death” reeled in 581K Spotify streams and paved the way for
his Hasn’t Even Started EP. He kicked off 2025 by contributing “Slow Down” [with Deacon] to
the acclaimed comedy, You’re Cordially Invited, which co-starred his father Will Ferrell (who also
remains a big inspiration).
“My dad definitely showed me how important work ethic is and how you really have to be weird
and obsessive about it,” he says.
He eventually caught the attention of powerhouse producer and songwriter Savan Kotecha
[Ariana Grande, The Weeknd] who signed him in partnership with Republic Records. At the
same time, he kept creating at a prolific pace in the studio, shaping his sound.
Now, Magnus crafts multi-dimensional pop spiked with handcrafted R&B grooves and accented
by jazzy fluidity.
“It has a vibe,” he continues. “I want to foster the idea of giving pop another golden age.”
Magnus is about to kick off that golden age now by making a lasting connection.
“Music has always been a place for me to escape,” he leaves off. “There’s nothing better than
sitting down and getting lost in the present moment through a song. We all have our own shit
going on, but my goal is to give everyone an opportunity to escape as well.
