    Disciples of Babylon

    Alternative

Disciples of Babylon come from Hollywood – and so does their sound. Big, broad and epic, their music conjures up the huge stadium bands – Muse, Foo Fighters, Queen, The Who, Stone Temple Pilots, U2 and Led Zeppelin.

Disciples of Babylon seek to create music that combines elements from all the major eras in rock – delivering the ultimate proof that rock is here to stay.

When Eric Knight and Ramon Blanco met at an alumni event at the Musicians Institute in 2012, the initial idea for Disciples of Babylon was born. Gui Bodi bassist of the band is also a graduate from the renowned elite music school and Chris Toeller rounds out the line up as the bands new drummer.

Their debut EP, “Welcome to Babylon”, was released in September 2015, and was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Andres Torres as well as mastered by Grammy-nominated sound engineer Joe LaPorta, most famous for his work with Foo Fighters, Killers and Vampire Weekend, at the legendary Sterling Sound Studio in New York. The result: world class sound!

Before joining DOB, all the band members had already launched busy pro careers and notched up a slew of indie productions; some had supported bands like Aerosmith, KISS, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock.

With a strong line-up and versatile repertoire, they plan to conquer the world with their philosophy of “Welcome you all to Babylon”.

  • Duranbah

    Duranbah

    Alternative

Formed in 2010, Duranbah has since been fortunate enough to have their music spread out across the brothers home country, Brazil, such as their MTV appearance in 2011.

Although they couldn’t be happier than they are with their work in Brazil, brothers Lucas and Leonardo Bomeny decided to take Duranbah aborad, and the band has set their sites in Los Angeles for the last 2 years, where Lucas, drummer, and his younger brother Leonardo, attended Musicians Institute.

Following the March release of their second album, Runaway, and after several local shows the band plans on bringing their passionate modern sound to the rest of the country. ‘I’ve been trying to blend my passion for film music and rock and roll and spread our sound to as many people as possible,’ Leo Bomeny, lead singer and guitar player, says, ‘With two albums and some EP’s under our belt, we’re ready to rock any stage, and give any crowd an epic night! Its really amazing when people come up to us after our shows to say how much they connected with what we have to say through our music’ affirms Lucas.

Produced by the brothers, with songs that talk about their life, relationships, friends, loves, heartbreaks and experiences the band mixes a little bit of everything they've picked up along the way on this new album. Now starts a new chapter in their story, one that is yet to be written and lived by Duranbah.

  • Bonavox

    Bonavox

    Alternative

The five musicians behind Bonavox are from Brazil, Germany, Indonesia and Sweden and they came together in Pasadena CA, a couple of months ago. They’ve already been elected out of 5000 contributors as one of the three winners of the Grammy U competition. Judges such as Hunter Hayes, Kendrick Lamar, Arianna Grande and Robert Glasper picked their song “Fallen Angels” as a winner for a reason.

Influenced by british rock/pop bands, their music pays respect to their Idols and still Bonavox sounds suggestively organic and upfront. With their first self-titled EP recorded in co-operation with Lineu Andrade and LACM and it just being released at SXSW (South by South West), Austin TX, they have stripped their art down to sounds that mean something real to people; songs that, in their simplicity, have a direct impact on the listener.

The band now has multiple plans in sight after succeeding so well in the Grammy U competition and reaching substantial media exposure and is focused to make everything happen this year.

In place of a screaming guitar, insert a melodic bass. When you think the verse is building into a stadium anthem, relax & settle into a groove with a swirling falsetto vocal hook. This track has both electronic beats & acoustic drums, hard hitting lyrics & gentle melodies, piano riffs & mesmerizing synths, verses that resemble Rap countered by Soul-inspired choruses, thoughtful guitar playing, and tight harmonies. This is Nevruary: a band rooted in rock but not limited to the genre.

Since their formation in 2013, this Los Angeles foursome has released their phonetically self-titled debut album, (Nev-Rü-Air-Ee), performed extensively at clubs in & around Hollywood (House of Blues, Universal Studios, Vaucluse Lounge, Amplyfi), and have recorded their second album, “Noegenesis”, which is to be released in the spring of 2016.

Nevruary is comprised of Jeremy M. Long, Josh Pryer, Cal Pryer, and David Myers, Jr.
