Located in the Catskill Mountains the Delaware & Ulster Railroad follows the scenic East Branch of the Delaware River and its tributaries. The station at Arkville has ample free parking, restrooms, gift shop and snack caboose for visitors. Day Out with Thomas will have a variety of extra activities in the lower Delaware & Ulster Railroad fairgrounds, for entertaining visitors and passengers. Trains are equipped with both regular coach seating and open-air cars. The train has lighting and fans, and is equipped with a restroom and a concession (snack bar) area.  Arkville Station is equipped with “High Level” platforms, that passengers can board trains barrier free with no stairs or steps. We can accommodate passengers on the trains in wheelchairs Day Out With Thomas™ offers an opportunity for children and their families to take a 25  minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine™ and to meet Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway. Enjoy the Thomas & Friends Imagination Station with Thomas-themed activities including temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts, and a Thomas storytelling and video viewing area.
