DC lived in Milwaukee, WI with his mother until he was 16 years old, at which point he moved out to Los Angeles to continue his basketball career. At 6’7”, DC, real name Daijon Davis, has plenty of highlight videos on YouTube of dunking on defenders or making it splash from behind the arc. The dude has real basketball talent. However, DC made the unorthodox move to focus on his music career instead of pursuing D1 and possibly professional basketball.
Basketball players rapping in their free time is nothing new. Damian Lillard, aka Dame Dolla, has put out multiple projects and even has a song with Lil Wayne! Kevin Durant and Lebron James recently dropped a single they recorded during the 2016-2017 lockout year.
The difference between DC The Don and other basketball players? The other basketball players aren’t good. At all. In fact, DC and close friend Lonzo Ball, aka Zo, could possibly be the best basketball rapping duo in the game today.
