Description
Singer-songwriter David Michael Wyatt, revered as "The Velvet Voice," first unveiled his extraordinary talent in a Texarkana, TX church at the tender age of six. His musical journey continued at Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft in Music Business, evolving into one of today's most compelling vocalists. Wyatt masterfully blends his deep gospel roots with elements of soul, folk, and R&B, creating a unique and captivating sound. David's illustrious career includes performances alongside music legends such as Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, and Yolanda Adams. More recently, he has garnered acclaim for his collaborations with Tobe Nwigwe on several celebrated tracks. These powerful partnerships fueled his project, The Reprise , and are further evidenced in his latest release, the Velvet Covers EP, which exquisitely showcases his signature 'velvet-toned' interpretations of timeless songs. The past year has marked an explosive surge in David's momentum. Highlights include a captivating duet with Babyface, a featured performance at the 2025 ESPYS, and successful first solo headlining tours across both the U.S. and the U.K. His artistry has also expanded into strategic brand collaborations, notably with Hyatt Hotels, and cross-genre features such as his recent work with folk duo Penny and Sparrow. With every note, David embodies his profound belief that music heals, connects, and gives a voice to so many people.
