Now approaching the fifth decade of his professional career, guitarist David Gilmore has recorded and performed with many of today’s most respected and influential leaders. Among these are Wayne Shorter (Gilmore played on the saxophonist’s GRAMMY Award–winning album High Life), Dave Douglas, Steve Coleman, Cassandra Wilson, Randy Brecker, David Sanborn, and Christian McBride, to name a few. He’s appeared on over 50 recordings, including his own acclaimed releases such as Energies Of Change (2015) and Transitions (2017). On the pop side, Gilmore has made notable contributions to the music of Melissa Etheridge, Joan Osbourne, Mavis Staples, and Boz Scaggs; he’s toured extensively with multi–platinum artist Joss Stone. This much–anticipated one–night stand finds David Gilmore at the helm of an exceptional quintet, with saxophonist Jaleel Shaw added to the lineup featured on the guitarist’s forthcoming Criss Cross album of new original compositions.
