The David Gibson Quartet features the talents of Davis Whitfield (piano), Joseph Lepore (bass), Kush Abadey (drums), and the compositions of trombonist David Gibson. They all began meeting weekly during the summer of 2020 for some outdoor performances and moved into Gibson's living room for the winter. He continued composing fresh material for the band and has referred to their new repertoire as "The Pandemic Hits". The group's music consistently evokes the fellowship of its members who often exhibit the exhilarating spontaneity of a perfectly executed fast break. Anything can happen at any time and probably will. And they contend it’s even better when performed for a live audience.
