Latin Jazz
David Cultura is a Panamanian multi-instrumentalist based on the West Coast, blending jazz, Latin
rhythms, and contemporary influences into a distinctive sound. Approaching the saxophone like a
vocalist, he crafts expressive, melodic performances that are vibrant, danceable, and emotionally direct.
Rooted in his heritage, David is redefining instrumental music for a new generation through fearless,
genre-defying artistry.

Alternative
Pocket Change
Pocket Change
Alternative
Pocket Change is a San Diego-based jazz fusion trio that pulls heavily from world beat, dance
and neo-soul music. Made up of keyboardist John Hooper, bassist Hunter Hartmann and
drummer Hunter Bragg. They often feature and rotate guest instrumentalists, including
percussionists, horn players and singers.
They’ve performed at several festivals including Same Same But Different, have obtained
residencies at some of San Diego’s best clubs and restaurants (Sago in Encinitas, Tony’s
Martini Bar, Beaumont’s Eatery, and Kettner Exchange by SDCM Restaurant Group to name a
few), and have established a partnership with the education program within Studio West. They
have also performed two shows at Belly Up this year, one opening for the Soul Rebels.
The group has released two EPs and is currently working on a studio album. Along with their
busy gig schedule, they also have a hefty creative output on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
with their series “Garage Grooves” which features artists from across San Diego showcasing
original music and unique covers.
