Description
CEG & HearFirst Presents:
David Ayscue is a New York City-based singer/songwriter with a dynamic voice and a penchant for telling stories. As a graduate of USC’s Thornton School of Music, he began playing shows in the greater Los Angeles area in the late 2010s, releasing his first album titled “Southwood Waltz” and headlining the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood. In 2020 when the covid pandemic hit, he headed to Nashville, where he released his southern-folk & rock influenced second album, “Carolina Blue” and subsequently toured throughout college towns in the southeast. He now resides in New York City and is working on a third record, which will have a r&b/pop/rock focus, drawing influence from singer/songwriters and r&b artists of both the 1970s and early 2000s. His music is a reflection of his life - energetic and upbeat at times while melancholic and introspective at others. He aims to capture the full range of the human emotion in his music and is inspired by artists like Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, and John Mayer, among many others.
