Dave Specter recently released his 14th album on Delmark Records “Live at SPACE”. A 40 year veteran of the Chicago blues scene, Dave’s unique guitar stylings combine elements of Chicago and Texas blues along with the after hours jazz feel of Kenny Burrell, combined with a taste of New Orleans funk and R&B. He’s performed worldwide in 19 countries and appears on compilation recordings with artists such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana and Mike Bloomfield. Downbeat magazine called Dave “one of the few top-tier guitarists”.
Mike Wheeler is one of the finest bluesmen on today’s Chicago music scene. He travels the world as a global ambassador for Chicago blues. A Delmark Recording artist for many years he’s also played and written songs for a variety of Chicago artists including, Nellie “Tiger “Travis, Peaches Staten, Sam Cockrell, Demetria Taylor, Big Ray & Cadillac Dave. Mike spent many years playing in the bands of Jimmy Johnson and Big James and the Chicago Playboys. He’s shared the stage with legendary artists such as Willie Kent, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, George Benson and Shemekia Copeland. Mike is also a proud member of the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame.

Guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, producer and Delmark recording artist Dave Specter has been an integral part of the Chicago blues scene for the past 38 years. He’s performed in 19 countries and appears on over 50 recordings including his latest double album, Six String Soul 30 Years on Delmark. Dave is featured on compilation recordings with the likes of Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana. Before forming his own band in 1989, Specter toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe behind such blues greats as Son Seals, The Legendary Blues Band, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Johnson, Sam Lay and Steve Freund. Dave has performed for the President of the United States, the Governor of Illinois and the Mayor of Chicago.

Mike Wheeler is a brilliant staple in the Chicago blues community, playing and writing songs for a variety of Chicago artists including, Nellie Tiger Travis, Peaches Staten, Sam Cockrell, Demetria Taylor, Big Ray & Cadillac Dave. Mike was a well known member of Big James &The Chicago Playboys, a notable band in Chicago and recorded five albums with the group. He has travelled the world as an ambassador for Chicago blues music. He's been to Monaco, France, Switzerland, Spain and Belgium, just to name a few. He's also shared the stage with the most elite musicians the world has known, including Willie Kent, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, George Benson, Jimmy Johnson and Shemekia Copeland. Mike was inducted in the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame in 2014.
