"His body of work reflects an inveterate engagement with the world, taking inspiration from literature, politics, dance and film, as well as jazz and new-music traditions."

-- Nate Chinen, New York Times

Two-time GRAMMY® nominated Dave Douglas continues his relentless musical exploration with a wide range of special projects and collaborations.

Dave Douglas Meets The Westerlies is a fresh collaboration featuring three trumpets, two trombones, and drums. Trumpeter and composer Dave Douglas writes new music for The Westerlies, a brass quartet comprised of four childhood friends from Seattle, along with Philadelphia drummer extraordinaire Anwar Marshall. The new music Douglas has written for the group explores great American themes in a rich panoply of warm brass sounds full of power and soul.
