Darci Carlson
Roadhouse Country
Darci delivers a true country performance of foot stompin' originals and classic country favorites drenched in hardcore twang. This isn’t Punk Country or a vanity act. This is a no non-sense, throwback, true country affair.
A natural story teller, her songs highlight tales of her truth, youth, and lawless adventures, no matter how ‘wild, reckless & crazy’. Her smokey sweet lived-in voice reminiscent of the after taste of a shot of whiskey, has been compared to other leading ladies in the Country and Rock Genres such as Bonnie Raitt, Tammy Wynette, Patty Loveless, Miranda Lambert, and Courtney Love.
Recognized for her devotion to Roots-Americana and renouncing the “pop country” sound, she is a 3 time nominee and 2017 Outlaw Female of The Year with Honky Tonk Hero Dale Watson's Ameripolitan Music Awards out of Austin Texas and Memphis Tennessee.
"If there was ever a personification of the ladies canonized in Hank Williams Jr.’s self-penned tune “Outlaw Women” from Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound, it would be Darci Carlson.”
- Saving Country Music

The Supersuckers, Sunny Sweeny, Whiskey Meyers, Randy Rogers Band, Wayne 'The Train' Hankcock, Mickey and The Motorcars, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, Shane Smith and The Saints, and Nikki Lane to name a few.

Country
A Town Called Home, led by multi-instrumentalists Howdy and Marilyn Darrell, blends heartfelt harmonies and driving rhythms into their own brand of honky tonk Americana. Drawing on a wide range of traditional influences, their sound is steeped in South Texas roots and grounded in the earthy spirit of West Coast blues rock—yielding songs that are introspective, defiant, and flat-out fun.
Their music reflects a unique confluence of backgrounds. Marilyn Darrell, raised on the prairies of rural Nebraska and in the redwoods of Northern California, brings an independent streak to her songwriting—think Hazel Dickens meets the Stone Poneys. With tight rhythm guitar chops, she isn't shy about taking the lead when the mood strikes. Her journey with the accordion began in a San Antonio music store, where she followed a gut feeling and walked out with the instrument that would help anchor her blend of roots traditions. Under the guidance of Grammy-winning accordionist Joel Guzman, Marilyn found a voice that bridges the conjunto traditions of Texas with the Cajun rhythms of her birth state, Louisiana. Beyond music, she holds an MFA and has worked with painting, photography, video, and the written word since 2012.
Howdy, a sought-after upright bassist from Austin, began playing at 17 and quickly made his mark—touring, recording, and performing with artists like Wayne Hancock, Leo Rondeau, Brennen Leigh, and Noel McKay. His songwriting carries the soul of South Texas, weaving in the cultural diversity of his upbringing. Now trading off between acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin (which he hand-built in his woodworking shop), and bass, Howdy’s roots run deep. Before forming A Town Called Home, he co-fronted the Austin-based Palomino Shakedown.
Together, Marilyn and Howdy craft original songs that reconcile the timelessness of country music with the electricity of a modern edge. From Austin to Portland, their performances radiate warmth, honesty, and a sense of belonging—helping everyone feel, quite literally, at home.
