Dan Smalley is a country singer/songwriter. A native of Shreveport, LA, Smalley has been playing music for more than 24 years and has been writing for the last 12. Having grown up with musical influences that span from honky-tonk and country & western to gospel, rhythm & blues and classic rock, Smalley’s sound has often been described as part of the recent ‘Real Country’ movement with the likes of Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and others. His tone resembles some of the greatest in country music history, and is a breath of fresh air in today’s pop country landscape.
After years of playing regional gigs in and around Louisiana and leading the house band for the largest Honky Tonks in Texas, Smalley moved to Nashville with his wife and two kids. He signed a publishing/production deal with Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) and Dreamlined Entertainment and recently signed to Big Machine Records.
Over the past decade, he has shared the stage with Tim McGraw, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Rogers, The Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Canada, Travis Meadows, Ryan Bingham, Jason Boland and many more.
