Repping from Atlanta, Daily Bread (the sonic vision of producer Rhett Whatley) has spent the last decade carving out a sound that feels both timeless and forward-leaning. Rooted in jazz guitar, crate-digging, and early beat experiments from his bedroom studio, Daily Bread’s music has always thrived at the intersection of vintage soul, gritty hip-hop, and bass-forward production. Guided by an instinct to bring old sounds to new ears, his tracks unfold like lived-in stories: warm, textured, and unmistakably his own.
After establishing his foundation with his breakout release On The Daily, Daily Bread steadily evolved from underground favorite to a defining voice within the modern bass and electro-soul landscape. His meticulous sound design and genre-fluid approach helped cultivate a devoted community drawn as much to feeling as to frequency. Additional years of releases and touring culminated in 2023’s Invisible Cinema, which proved to be a pivotal chapter in his catalog and career and really the beginning of a new paradigm for Daily Bread. Throughout 2024, Daily Bread’s momentum continued to build across both releases and the road. In June, he released the buzzworthy Flash Flood II mixtape, which amassed over 7.5 million listens on SoundCloud alone. That year also marked a major leap onstage, including a sold-out Red Rocks performance in October 2024 and a dominant presence on the festival circuit which carried into 2025 when Daily Bread hit the road with his 27-date North American Flash Flood Tour in Spring 2025, bringing his expanding catalog to audiences nationwide. 2025 also included two nights at Red Rocks and a hometown closeout with back-to-back New Year’s Eve performances at The Eastern in Atlanta..
As Daily Bread moves into 2026, the focus remains on forward motion. Kicking off the year with new music on the horizon and confirmed festival appearances at Lightning in a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Elements.
