“Two voices, one vision — preserving the heart of American music.”
From small-town stages to the Grand Ole Opry, Dailey & Vincent have become one of the most celebrated and respected acts in American roots music. Their unmatched harmonies, virtuosic musicianship, and deep-rooted faith have earned them three Grammy nominations, over thirty industry awards, and membership in the most hallowed circle of all — the Grand Ole Opry. Together, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent embody the blend of tradition, innovation, and spirit that defines the very soul of bluegrass, country, and gospel.
Early Life & Musical Roots
Jamie Dailey was raised in Gainesboro, Tennessee, where music filled the family home. He first sang on stage at the age of three with his father’s band and found early heroes in The Statler Brothers, Vince Gill, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and The Osborne Brothers. “The love and closeness of my family and our faith have inspired a lot of the songs I’ve written through the years,” Jamie reflects.
Darrin Vincent grew up in Lancaster, Missouri, part of a third-generation musical family known as The Sally Mountain Show. He first appeared on television at age three and learned mandolin, bass, fiddle, guitar, banjo, and dobro before his teenage years. His sister, Rhonda Vincent, went on to her own acclaimed career, but Darrin’s drive and determination were shaped by his father’s resilience after a life-changing accident. “Dad never used his disability as a crutch,” Darrin recalls. “He taught me to never give up and always give others an opportunity.”
The Formation of a Duo
The two first met at the IBMA Awards in Louisville, Kentucky, where Jamie was performing with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Darrin was a member of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder. Their first conversation — a handshake backstage — began a friendship that would later become one of the most successful partnerships in modern bluegrass.
After years of lunches, late-night phone calls, and recording collaborations, Dailey & Vincent officially launched their duo in 2007. Their self-titled debut album immediately topped the Billboard Bluegrass chart and made history at the International Bluegrass Music Awards, where they captured both Entertainer of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year in the same year — a feat no act had ever achieved.
A Career of Excellence
Since their groundbreaking debut, Dailey & Vincent have continued to expand the boundaries of American roots music. Their albums — including Singing from the Heart, The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent, Brothers of the Highway, Patriots & Poets, Sounds of Christmas, and Let’s Sing Some Country — have all charted on Billboard. Their stirring song “I’ll Leave My Heart in Tennessee” was officially adopted as a Tennessee State Song, a rare honor that speaks to their enduring connection to faith, family, and home.
With a touring show that blends humor, heart, and harmony, the duo has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Grand Ole Opry, where they were inducted as members in 2017. “Becoming part of the Opry family was one of the greatest honors of our lives,” Jamie shares.
Beyond the stage, Dailey & Vincent host the nationally syndicated Dailey & Vincent Show on RFD-TV, now in its tenth season, filmed from the Grand Ole Opry’s Studio A and showcasing a diverse range of guests from across the musical spectrum. They also curate and headline the annual Dailey & Vincent Music Fest, held each September in Hiawassee, Georgia — a multi-day celebration of bluegrass, country, and gospel music.
As they prepare for the release of their forthcoming album on June 12, 2026, Dailey & Vincent stand firmly in a genre of their own — where bluegrass virtuosity meets country heart and gospel soul.
Faith, Legacy & Mission
Faith remains at the center of everything Dailey & Vincent do. Both men view their talents as gifts meant to uplift and encourage others. “Our prayer is always that people leave our shows feeling joy, hope, and comfort,” says Darrin. “If a song can touch someone’s heart or make their day a little better, then we’ve done our job.”
Their legacy is already firmly established — as innovators, collaborators, and torchbearers for the sound and spirit of American music. But they remain humble, driven, and grateful. As Jamie notes, “We’ve never thought we ‘made it.’ We’re just doing what we love and trying to get better every day.”
Rooted in faith, bound by friendship, and guided by an unwavering commitment to excellence, Dailey & Vincent stand as living proof that harmony — both musical and human — can still change hearts and shape history.
