An award-winning producer whose work helped shape the emotional language of modern hip-hop and R&B, Dahi has spent more than a decade quietly influencing the sound of contemporary music. His productions, heard across records by artists including Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Drake, Mac Miller, and SZA, carry a distinctive sense of atmosphere and scale, moving fluidly across genres while expanding the possibilities of modern Black music. Nearly two decades into his career, Dahi steps forward with Black Boy (Alternative), his first fully realized artist project. More than a debut album, the project is a philosophy, an exploration of identity, spirit, and the many dimensions of Black creativity beyond the limits of genre. The record gathers a wide constellation of musicians and voices, including Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Ravyn Lenae, Fousheé, and Moses Sumney, moving through soul, alternative, jazz, and global rhythms while forming a collective expression of Black creativity.
