Burgerwolf presents:
CYBORG OCTOPUS / FOUR STROKE BARON / SNOOZE / PHOENIX DOWN
-
Experimental metal from the San Francisco Bay Area. After releasing their second album in 2022. Cyborg Octopus is returning from the depths to bring their newest album “Bottom Feeder” on September 27th, 2024. Recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland California with Zack Ohren (All Shall Perish, Machine Head, Volumes) - Cyborg Octopus’s sound is as strong and refined as it has ever been. Cyborg Octopus has been an established act in the Bay Area metal scene since 2011, growing their audience with ridiculous high energy live shows and experimental music that mixes the heaviest of metals with groove and flavor influenced by countless other genres.
Cyborg Octopus has toured regionally through the Western half of the United States and Canada, playing with acts such as Fallujah, The Faceless, The Zenith Passage, Archspire and many others. Cyborg Octopus is seeking to dominate the entire United States in the coming year - keep an eye out for a show near you. -
“Data Diamond is the sound of FOUR STROKE BARON at their most confidently unhinged. Originally conceived as two separate EPs (one purely electronic - Data, one heavy - Diamond) that would then meld together on one full length release, the idea morphed into what is now the succinct sucker punch of an album that is heading our way at speed.
Data Diamond is a dizzying sub-40 minute dive into the deranged psyches of its creators. The tracks on Data Diamond are lithe yet still allow enough room for idiosyncratic flourishes that mark this out as a true FOUR STROKE BARON opus. If Classics was a Man vs. Food belly busting plate of indulgence, Data Diamond is an upmarket Gordon Ramsay dish, served with a side of insanity.
With this, their fourth full length, FOUR STROKE BARON has blossomed into the self-absorbed, wildly confident, musically deranged partnership that they were always destined to be - and it sounds incredible.”

Snooze is a heavy, happy math-rock band from Chicago, often described as “Meshuggah in major”—but more commonly, just “a band.” Their debut full-length album, Familiaris, introduced listeners to an intricately composed concept piece chronicling the life of a beloved family dog. The record weaves rich vocal harmonies through polyrhythmic, neck-snapping breakdowns, crafting a sound both emotionally resonant and technically intense. In 2020, Snooze released their EP “Still”, a heartfelt tribute to longtime bassist Cameron Grom. Featuring thunderous drumming from Anup Sastry, the EP marked a sonic shift toward heavier territory—blending the band’s math-rock roots with the aggressive edge of djent and other technical metal influences. Their highly anticipated sophomore album, I Know How You Will Die (2025), pushes even further. A sprawling, conceptual journey, the record spans a vast sonic palette—from relentless blast beats to engrossing live choir arrangements—while staying anchored in Snooze’s signature off-kilter grooves and rhythms. More than a collection of songs, the through-composed nature of Snooze’s music creates a singular, immersive experience that demands full attention.

Heart stopping growls. Piercing screams. Vocals that are skin crawling and bone shattering. Their unique Metalcore sound is inspired by bands such as Escape the Fate, Gideon, Atreyu, and Lamb of God.
