Stand-up
Craig Shoemaker has spent over four decades proving that laughter is more than entertainment, it’s medicine.
As a stand-up, Craig is best known for his iconic character The Lovemaster and for his comedy specials, including his Comedy Central special ranked in the Top 25 of all time. He’s earned two Emmy Awards, the American Comedy Award for “Best Male Stand-Up Comedian,” and has performed on every major network and streaming platform. He’s appeared in over 200 TV shows and films, with memorable roles on Parks and Recreation, Matlock, and even a cameo in Scream 2.
Beyond the stage and screen, Craig has built an entirely new lane for himself as a leader in wellness and transformation. He is the founder of Laughter Worx, a corporate training company using his proprietary, non-comedic laughter techniques to shift workplace culture; creator of Laugh Bath™, an immersive laughter-healing experience now rolling out nationwide; and the visionary behind LaffApp, a wellness app blending neuroscience and humor.
He also teaches Command the Room, a masterclass and coaching platform that helps people of all backgrounds (from executives to entertainers) harness humor to elevate presence, storytelling, and connection. Whether you want to crush a keynote, win a sales pitch, or just be the funniest one at the dinner table, Craig has coached thousands on how to use laughter as their ultimate superpower.
Craig’s career reflects his core belief: that humor is the shortest distance between two people. From Fortune 500 retreats and TED Talks to Hollywood soundstages and television and films, his mission is the same: to heal, inspire, and connect people through the transformative power of laughter.
