"Musicians must make music, artists must paint, poets must write if they are to be ultimately at peace with themselves. What human beings can be, they must be. They must be true to their own nature. This need we may call self-actualization. It refers to man's desire for self-fulfillment, namely to the tendency for him to become actually in what he is potentially: to become everything one is capable of becoming."
    Abraham Maslow

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."
    Albert Einstein

"In this interconnected universe, every improvement we make in our private world improves the world at large for everyone. We all float on the collective level of consciousness of mankind, so that any increment we add comes back to us. We all add to our common buoyancy by our efforts to benefit life. It is a scientific fact that what is good for you is good for me."
    - David Hawkins

"If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise."
    - Robert Fritz

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."
    - Jimi Hendrix

"Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle."
    Abraham Lincoln

"Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone."
    Robert Allen

"Every negative event contains within it the seed of an equal or greater benefit."
    Napoleon Hill

"Fear is the cheapest room in the house. I would like to see you living in better conditions."

" Love is our highest word and the synonym for God."
    Ralph Waldo Emerson

"From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that we are here for the sake of each other - above all for those upon whose smile and well - being our own happiness depends, and also for the countless unknown souls whose fate we are connected by a bond of sympathy. Many times a day i realize how much my own outer and inner life is built upon the labors of my fellow men, both living and dead, and how earnestly i must exert myself in order to give in return as much as i have received."
    Albert Einstein

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of the rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they are changing things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

born and raised in the northern suburbs of los angeles, katy carmichael fell in love with music at a young age. upon moving to nashville for college, katy immersed herself in the vibrant local scene, all while crafting a catalogue of achingly real and startlingly honest songs, layered with emotion and anchored by her signature soulful voice. a confessional singer / songwriter falling within the indie pop realm, her debut ep, stay here, due out spring 2016, captures both the confidence of youth and confusion of coming of age, reminding listeners that they’re never really alone.

    Chelsea Shag

You can’t put Chelsea Shag in a box – she’s made up her own. It’s not just pop – it’s jazz, blues, R&B, soul, funk, and hip hop all in one – it’s everything that’s gone through her. An enamoring energy both on and offstage, this twenty-three year old's music moves within you. Her words create stories and her voice and music bring life to them delivering a unique experience to each listener. An invigorating sound to your ears, Chelsea’s voice vibrates through you with the soul of James Brown, edge of Amy Winehouse, and smoothness of Erykah Badu.
From listening to her biggest influences and putting her hands on any instrument she could get ahold of, Chelsea’s been developing her sound since she started playing her electric guitar at age eleven. Moving to Atlanta in 1996 from Nova Scotia, Canada, Chelsea developed the soul of the Southeast and you can feel it when you hear her music. With so much to offer vocally, it’s refreshing to hear a strong singer-songwriter play guitar with such ease and originality. After studying jazz guitar at the Atlanta Institute of Music, Chelsea began winning hearts performing throughout Atlanta breaking the cliché that only men can rock a guitar. With her looper machine, sweet tones, beat boxing, and kick drum riding the rhythm – her live performance is not to be missed.
It is that time yet again where Chelsea evolves in front of our eyes and we are happy to announce that she is in the works of finishing her first record with a full band. This new element only magnifies her more as the artist she is so keep your eyes peeled and ears ready. Things are about to get funky!
