    Matt Bergman has been honing his comedy craft since he was in college pursuing a degree in criminal justice. After graduating, he realized he was afraid of criminals and decided stand-up comedy was the way to go. It was a wise move. Bergman is easily relatable and versatile, a skillset that has opened the door to TV appearances on Gotham Comedy Live, Comedy Central Live and a Dry Bar Comedy Special. Liz won Comedy Kumite 29 (online, winter 2021), Comedy Kumite 41 (fall 2023) and Comedy Kumite 43 (Mother's Day 2024) at the DC Improv, as well as the October 2024 Kumite Tournament of Champions.
