Brigitta Teuscher interprets the spontaneity and smoothness of Norah Jones’ engaging power.  Her voice swirls into maze-like melodies, capturing the impulsivity Jones sought; it arcs and moves with calming clarity, like an especially beautiful sunrise filtering through the trees.

Deeply influenced by Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, Brigitta Teuscher’s voice is a heady mix of nostalgia and purposeful emotional depth. A contralto jazz vocalist with roots in Portland, Oregon, her voice has been lauded as having a rare mix of unconventional warmth and power.
