Prehistoric rhythms, noisy guitars, and synthesized overtones...THESE PEOPLE are like Cro-Magnons with a glimpse into the future.

Long Beach, New York producer, song writer, and former Men Women & Children singer, TJ Penzone started THESE PEOPLE as a solo project.  Not wanting to be tied down to any specific line up, the live band has had a constant rotation of musicians since it’s inception. The music and lyrics are created by TJ with additional instrumentation and writing by his brother, Rick Penzone (Color Film). Occasional musicians and engineers assist throughout the recordings.

The music is influenced by many genres and forms of media. There is a common theme of unpredictability, calming, momentary chaos, and simplicity, all while keeping the songs concise and focused.  The first release was the self titled EP, followed by the first full length “IN”.  The upcoming album “Mixed Signals" takes the music even further, gently harnessing and guiding the projects always evolving sound.
