Clarence Johnson III, a native of New Orleans, is celebrated for his dynamic saxophone performances and remarkable versatility across various musical genres. With a career spanning over three decades, he has established himself as a prominent recording and performing artist, educator, and has made appearances in films and television. Johnson's distinctive sound and virtuosic skill have made him a sought-after collaborator in the music industry. His film and TV credits include appearances with Jamie Foxx in “Ray” and PBS with Allen Toussaint, his own bands are known as jazz fusion reminiscent of Stanley Clarke & George Duke, stylized with “Coltranesque Impressionism” and Sun Ra Futurism.
Throughout his illustrious career, Johnson has collaborated with a diverse array of artists. He has performed with jazz luminaries such as Delfeayo Marsalis, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and Dr. John. His versatility extends to working with members of the Neville Brothers, Allen Toussaint, and The Meters. Johnson's talents have also led him to share the stage with international acts like Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, and Wynton Marsalis, showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend into various musical styles and settings.

However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
