Chrissi Poland is an acclaimed soul singer and songwriter, known around the world for her captivating stage presence and stunning vocal prowess. She has spent many years on the stage and in the studio with icons like Mavis Staples, Ronnie Wood, Michael McDonald, Cher, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and many more.
Chrissi's inspiration for this project began while on tour with Michael Bolton, when she first visited Muscle Shoals and historic Fame Recording Studio where so many of her heroes had recorded. Her artistry has been molded eternally by working with some of the biggest artists ever to record in the Shoals, such as Sam Moore, Mavis Staples and even Cher.
The mission is to make an album honoring the legendary music made in Muscle Shoals, during the 1960's and 1970's that have not only shaped the sound of popular music, but that have deeply shaped who Chrissi is as a singer, a songwriter and a performer.
Chrissi and the Shoals' top producers, engineers, and musicians will round out production with horns, strings, background vocals, & more- beautifully weaving together this collection of cherished music and making an undeniably powerful album built for critical and commercial success.
