He's also known for his film roles in O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Ray, and his 2021 book, The Blues: The Authentic Narrative of My Music and Culture, redefines the roots of blues through a New Orleans Creole lens.
Kenny Neal, born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge, is a celebrated blues guitarist and singer deeply rooted in Louisiana’s swamp blues tradition.
