The Chris Byars Original Sextet   Chris Byars - tenor sax Zaid Nasser - alto sax John Mosca - trombone Stefano Doglioni - bass clarinet Ari Roland - bass Phil Stewart - drums   The Chris Byars Original Sextet performs brand-new compositions and arrangements in the classic traditional style of New York City Jazz. The sextet is comprised of four horns and two rhythm, with a band of veterans who carry decades of experience playing together.    In the music of the CBOS, an increased attention to melody and rhythm overcomes the absence of a chord player; this is structured by vast, innovative four-horn arrangements. With the help of his longtime colleagues, Byars vies for the top of the jazz player/composer/arranger category, in the mold of his heroes Lucky Thompson and Gigi Gryce.
