Doors: 8PM / Show: 9PM / 21+ DIANOGAH Dianogah is composed of bassists Jay Ryan and Jason Harvey in tandem with drummer Kip McCabe. Often labeled “post-rock” or “math-rock” the band prefers to be associated with Chicago’s emerging mortgagecore scene.  The group debuted in 1995 and has four albums under their belt, working with engineers like Steve Albini (Jesus Lizard, Pixies, PJ Harvey) and John McEntire (Tortoise, the Sea and Cake, Stereolab). Primarily instrumental and bass-driven, the band began to expand their sound with their third and fourth albums by collaborating with Rachel Grimes (the Rachel’s), Andrew Bird, Mark Greenberg (Eleventh Dream Day, the Coctails) and others.  If any of their music sounds familiar it’s probably because you listen to a lot of NPR where their music gets talked over on a regular basis. The band has been in hibernation for a few years, and this rare performance will act as a release party for a set of vinyl reissues of the band's catalog on the Landland Colportage label.
