“She’s a true extrovert...even when you watch her sing, she engages you and makes you feel like you’re part of the story.”
—Terell Stafford
In October 2012, vocalist Chelsea Reed brought five of her friends together to play some tunes in a South Philly dining room. Her plan was to form a band that played for swing dancers, so she could finally have the chance to sing her favorite songs for an audience that loved early jazz as much as she did. Since that fateful day, she’s been living that dream and couldn’t be happier about it.
Now, Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Five are at home at swing dances, jazz clubs and concert halls alike. They have played renowned Philadelphia venues and travel the country year round to perform at both Lindy and Blues exchanges and workshops. They’ve had the honor of sharing the stage with trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, and he also played on their 2017 release Spreadin’ Rhythm Around. They love exploring the roots of jazz and finding creative ways to interpret forgotten songs, and their newest release out in May 2020 will feature their original songs inspired by the history of jazz and blues music. Drawing upon the intensity of powerhouse vocalists, the ingenuity of 20th century composers, and the soul of the dance floor, Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Five are silly, passionate people who love playing music.

Americana
Liz Fulmer is a primarily self-taught singer/songwriter based out of Lancaster, PA. She studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music and left Berklee in 2010 to pursue her own career in New York City, frequenting a variety of stages from the grungy National Underground in Soho to the renowned Metropolitan Room. Here, she transitioned from piano to guitar and began writing more lyrical, folk music. Craving experience and moved by the traveler's itch, Liz spent the next few years traveling through New Zealand and the UK, spending the most time in Edinburgh, Scotland. Liz contemplated a career change in 2014 but was given a boost of confidence from Lady Gaga after the Grammy winner saw Liz perform an original song. Since the chance encounter, Liz has been in the studio working on her first EP, Tall Tales, due for a Spring release. Liz's music is highly lyrical and springs from a hybrid of pop and folk influences.
