Chase Atlantic
Alternative Rock
Representing the missing link between anesthetized woozy trap, nocturnal R&B, and psychedelically-spun alternative, Chase Atlantic blur boundaries between genres through fearless experimentation and innate melodic inclinations. Amassing over 200 million streams and receiving acclaim from Billboard, OnesToWatch, mxdwn, PopCrush, Alternative Press, Substream Magazine, and Rock Sound of which they graced the cover, the Australia-born and Los Angeles-based trio—Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony—boldly push forward again on their forthcoming debut for Fearless Records. A prolific creative journey brought Chase Atlantic to this point. The band unleashed a string of EPs—Dalliance [2014], Nostalgia [2015], and Paradise [2017]—before their self-titled full-length debut, Chase Atlantic. They put up serious numbers on the likes of “Friends” [55.9 million Spotify streams], “Swim” [41.8 million Spotify streams], “Into It” [37.3 million Spotify streams], and “Okay” [21.7 million Spotify streams], to name a few. In 2019, their sophomore album, PHASES, attracted widespread praise. OnesToWatch predicted, “while we would say the sky is the limit for Chase Atlantic with a showing this strong, chances are they would just break out of the stratosphere in the year to come.” Along the way, they canvased multiple continents, headlined across the US, UK, and Europe, and sold out venues such as Webster Hall in New York, Kentish Town Forum in the UK, and The Regent Theater in Los Angeles in addition to gracing the stages of Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Reading and Leeds. Now, they charge up their next chapter with the single “Out The Roof” and more to come.

Pop
Leah Kate writes pop/rock anthems that cut to the bone. Pairing booming, radio-ready choruses with poignant, hyper-specific details, her songs are intimate and razor-sharp—the sort of tracks that resonate with listeners around the world. With the success of the snarky breakup song “10 Things I Hate About You,” the Los Angeles native is realizing her childhood dreams of pop stardom by reaching deep within and sharing relatable feelings alongside addictive melodies.
A week and a half after she posted a snippet on TikTok, the song was live on DSPs and has since amassed millions of streams to date, zoomed into the Top 15 at Pop Radio and went viral on TikTok with nearly 1 million videos using the sound, proof of how quickly and how widely her songs can resonate. Singles like “Life Sux,” emphasize how relatable her songs can be as she turns an existential spiral into an anthem for living in the moment. It’s a compelling gesture and one that shows just how unique a personality Kate has brought to her music from the very beginning.
Since taking her first singing lesson at 5, Kate knew that music was her destiny. “I would just watch music videos and try to
sing like my favorite artists,” she remembers. By 13, she’d penned her first song. “It was about a stupid guy, obviously,” she quips. “I hadn’t even had a boyfriend, but I clearly liked to write about the same things as I do now.”
From then on, she focused on making contacts within the music industry. “I would Google Katy Perry's producers and email them voice notes,” she says. “I was such a little hustler.” The budding artist couldn’t muster the same passion for school. “I didn’t give a f***,” she matter-of-factly states. Instead, she devoted herself to music, penning the empowering track “Fuck Up the Friendship,” which caught the attention of Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, who became a huge supporter of Leah. Feeling momentum building, Kate got to work.
During writing sessions, she randomly pulled up the instrumental of a rock song and started singing over it. Liking the result, she brought guitars into the mix on “F U Anthem” (another ode to the chump who inspired “10 Things”) and realized she had finally found her sound by marrying crushing rock riffs to sugar-rush choruses. “I grew up loving Green Day, No Doubt, and Avril Lavigne,” she says. “It just made sense.”
The stars aligned when Kate met producer Mike Wise and co-writer Madi Yanofsky. Together, they conjured “10 Things I Hate About You,” and the singer’s long-awaited pop vision started coming true. Last year, the singer released her debut EP, Alive and Unwell, which features the bombastic titular single.
Kate isn’t slowing down. She’s signed to 10K Projects and MDDN, toured overseas with Madison Beer and stateside with Chase Atlantic. She performed her debut set at a music festival and headlined her own tours in the U.K and Europe, proving that she’s able to make her work translate to the world’s biggest stages. She’s setting her sights on the next level of her music career. She proclaims, “It just motivates me to work harder on the next one.”
“This was just always how I envisioned my future,” she says. And proving people wrong is, it turns out, just a bonus: “I spent so much time and energy concerned about other people's opinions—and now I don’t care. I’m living my dream."
