Description
Nashville-based singer and songwriter Cassandra Lewis brings her signature Cosmic Americana to life with a kaleidoscopic blend of classic country, psychedelic soul, and cinematic storytelling. Known for her powerhouse vocals and unfiltered emotionality, Lewis channels a life lived across continents and chaos — from being born on a converted WWII base in Nuremberg to a childhood of constant moves, small-town grit, and eventually the wild spiral of houselessness and heartbreak that shaped her voice. Her sound has been described by press as a “tapestry of cosmic Americana, retro soul, and country gold” (No Depression), and she jokes that her music is “Dolly Parton on acid. Janis Joplin on Jesus.” Her major-label debut, Lost in a Dream (Elektra/Low Country Sound), produced by Dave Cobb, solidified her as one of Americana’s most arresting new artists. The album, praised for its cinematic sweep and emotional depth, climbed into the Top 15 on AAA radio, with her breakout single “So Bad” edging the Top 10. Her earlier independent record Always, All Ways hit #1 on KEXP’s Americana chart, earning her a devoted following even before her major-label introduction. Onstage, Lewis is a force. Raw, hilarious, transcendent, and impossible to forget. She has toured with Allen Stone and Charley Crockett, and delivered standout performances at Farm Aid with Willie Nelson, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Pilgrimage Festival, Bumbershoot, BeachLife Ranch, and the Ryman Auditorium. Each appearance expands the world she builds in her songs: gritty, unhinged, tender, mystical, and always rooted in human truth. Now fully independent, Cassandra is entering a bold new era… unbound, cinematic, and fearlessly her own. With her third studio album, In Love + War, arriving in 2026 with a raw, electric tour planned to follow, she continues carving her own lane as one of the most arresting voices in modern Americana.
