Catalina Jazz Club is proud to welcome Jazz and Bossa Nova song stylist, Carolyn Martinez. Most recently, Carolyn has been delighting audiences in the Southern California desert for the past few years — specifically Vicky’s of Santa Fe in Indian Wells — which attracts some of the top L.A. jazz acts.
Influenced by the “West Coast Cool” singers of the 1950s, as well as the Bossa Nova movement of the 1960s, Carolyn’s repertoire covers the best of the American Songbook to Jobim and Sergio Mendes.
The famous Los Angeles Jazz critic, Scott Yanow quotes, “Carolyn is one of the best singers to grace the Los Angeles Jazz scene.”
