Singer-Songwriter
With songs that sound like Top 40 hits but read like tarot cards, Danielle, who has been playing piano since 8-years-old and boasts a graduate degree in music, creates compositions that touch opposite sides of the spectrum. On Danielle’s debut LP, which she will unveil in 2022, many of the tracks were born from the pandemic and the song exercises that kept her sane throughout. Woven together with truths about her mental health (and its own unraveling), the songs represent growth, new connections.
Danielle, who has played in popular bands in Seattle like Purr Gato, graced stages like The Tractor Tavern and those abroad in cities as far away as Germany, has worked in children’s theater and performed in musicals, too. She’s a quilt of experience held with uneasy stitching. At times her songs sound like a stroll down a city street, others like the corners of your consciousness. Standouts include the unburdening, “Hindsight,” and sauntering, “Nothing.” But don’t fret. In the end, of course, she’s got the world dancing on a line.

Jaws of Brooklyn
Music
Jaws of Brooklyn formed when Radio Raheem’s three members (Zia Uddin-Drums, Paul Christofferson-Bass, Bryan Cohen-Guitar) met singer Lindsay Love in Seattle during the height of the COVID pandemic in August 2020. They recorded a series of 60’s flavored Rock n’ Roll and Soul demos in Cohen’s basement, which included background vocal contributions from Black Pumas’ Lauren Cervantes and keyboards from Funky 2 Death’s Melissa Montalto. The demos caught the ear of Alabama Shakes keyboardist Ben Tanner and Fitz and the Tantrums and Lady Blackbird writer/producer Chris Seefried.
In May, they traveled to Florence, Alabama – Sundrop Sound - and cut their debut record, The Shoals. Tanner agreed to produce the album, and Seefried agreed to co-write two tunes and produce the lead vocal on one of those tunes. Tanner played keys and Alabama Shakes/Brittney Howard vocalists Shanay Johnson and Karita Law added their voices for background vocals. The result is a slab of 60’s inspired Rock and Soul with lots of fun percussion and simple arrangements.
They plan to release the debut album in early 2022, with the first single release on November 12, 2021.
Last thing. The name. They are based in Seattle. They recorded in Florence Alabama. Yet they are called Jaws of Brooklyn? Before meeting Love four years ago, Uddin, Christofferson, and Cohen ended up mixing a couple of song demos in Brooklyn. (They eventually reworked the songs for Jaws of Brooklyn). After a fun night of romping through Brooklyn, they picked the name – Jaws of Brooklyn.
