Blackpool Mecca is Baxter White (vocals, guitar), Kristofer Jedd (guitar), Jameson Cunningham (bass), and Caleb Hughes (drums). Baxter and Kris began collaborating while working together at the Meinl Percussion factory in Inglewood. They bonded over a mutual love of the Pixies and a desire to have fun and make the sort of music they wanted to hear. As they began to rehearse a melting pot of rock ‘n’ roll covers and original tunes, they drafted Arizona native and singer-songwriter Jameson on bass. After playing a handful of local shows with a rotating cast of drummers, they stumbled across the missing piece to their puzzle, percussionist Caleb Hughes.
Though each member brings disparate influences to the table, ranging from top 40 bubblegum pop to obscure 60's psychedelic singles, together they have distilled a fresh rock 'n' roll sound for the modern age. The boys of Blackpool Mecca joined DJ Andy Herrin of rock station 102.9 The Buzz in the studio for the premiere of “Surf Lords” December 15th on his show The Local Buzz
