KABOOM got his start as a DJ all the way back in high school. On the decks for over a decade, he's developed a unique style staying true to himself, while always staying relevant to his time and surroundings. Without a doubt, he's got one of the most diverse styles out there. His love for people from all walks of life enables him to connect with a amazingly wide array of cultures and subcultures, both mainstream and underground. His chops and drive have also lead him on to producing quite an arsenal of original works, starting with a release on his own OUTSIDER RECORDINGS imprint in 2001, and continuing to today. In 2009, he released an original spanish hip hop album under OUTSIDER'S sister label, DISTRITO UNIVERSAL. KABOOM has performed in shows alongside such prominent artists as LMFAO, TALIB KWELI, AKWID, SWEDISH EGIL, and many amazing local talents on the rise. Always dedicated to the community he came from, KABOOM devotes much of his time, energy, and abilities to giving back. He provides his services as a DJ, artist, and host, to local elementary, junior, and senior high schools, colleges, and non-profits, to help them raise money for after school activities or special needs. He is a huge advocate of the social development in his community and runs an entire after school arts and music program for the low income youth in Costa Mesa, the town he grew up in and that he loves so much.
