This month The Belltown Film Society presents Buffalo 66’, Vincent Gallo’s autobiographical tale of strained love, family trauma, and botched Super Bowl’s.  Written, directed, starring, as well as scored, by Gallo himself, this film is a searing indictment on Gallo’s own past and all who were involved in it, himself included. Taking influence from the unconventional visual style of Japanese film-maker Yasujiro Ozu, Buffalo 66’ explores the nuances and contradictions of love and family from a place of brutal honesty in which uncomfortable truths become tragically hilarious.
