Alternative Country
Bryan Andrews is one of country music's most outspoken new voices, using sharp songwriting and unapologetic storytelling to challenge expectations of what the genre can say and stand for. Hailing from Carrollton, Missouri, the progressive country artist has built a devoted following by pairing blue collar authenticity with fearless social commentary, reaching millions with songs that confront inequality, patriotism, and the realities of modern America. As Bryan puts it, "History will be told, and it will be through art."
Before pursuing music full time, Bryan spent four and a half years working as a pipe welder. Those experiences continue to shape his perspective as a songwriter. Raised in a musical family, his father was a high school band teacher and his mother a choir teacher. He grew up surrounded by music and eventually blended that foundation with the working class values and lived experiences that define his artistry today.
That approach has struck a powerful chord with audiences, helping Bryan amass more than 3.8 million TikTok followers and 1.4 million Instagram followers while earning recognition from Rolling Stone, Billboard, NBC News, Don Lemon, MusicRow, and more. His breakout track "The Older I Get" topped Billboard's Country Digital Song Sales, Digital Song Sales, and Emerging Artists charts, cementing him as one of the genre's fastest rising independent artists.
In 2026, Bryan marks America's 250th anniversary with his mixtape Independence Day, an eight song collection that continues his mission of examining the country's promises and contradictions through country music. The project features two new songs, "Home of the Chained" and "Backwoods Backwards," alongside viral favorites including "Are We Great Yet?," "Yeehaw," "Not See," and "The Older I Get."
Bryan is also taking his message directly to fans on the Taking My Flag Back U.S. headline tour, which kicks off on Election Day in Washington, D.C., with support from Lou Ridley before traveling across the country through December. Continuing his commitment to advocacy beyond the stage, a portion of proceeds from the tour will benefit a charity to be announced. The effort follows his ICE Out of My Country Damn Tour, which donated proceeds to Human Rights First in support of immigrant and refugee rights.
Whether writing about small town life, economic inequality, or the meaning of patriotism, Bryan Andrews is redefining what country music can sound like and who it can speak for.
